Student Cohorts meet monthly with up to two partner high schools. The monthly workshops are developed to:
help students learn Johnson County and Kansas City’s history of structural racism; let students see the ongoing structural racism in our community and connect it to their lives; give students the opportunity to cross boundaries and build relationships they might not otherwise; connect students with experiences, experts, resources, the library, and each other. create an avenue for students to craft different and counter narratives.
"It is our generation that will be the ones to do something about the division of economic status in the KC area. We will create steps to stop the economic and educational division." - Race Project Student
